The Facts and Myths of Heat Induced Barrel Movement
The target on this page was shot on July 22, 2000 between 10:30 and 11:30 AM. It was sunny and the temperature was 66 degrees F. There was a moderate to strong variable wind from the NNE to NE and switching from the E at approximately 2-15 MPH (mostly 10-15) and I was shooting south. As with the targets on the other pages no attempt to "dope the wind" was made. Because the wind would not co-operate it took me an hour to shoot the four groups. I figured it was useless to attempt any further tuning or testing so I gave up for the day. I only adjusted the Accurizer a total of 3 clicks (approximately .05") forward during the shooting. I will finish the tuning and the testing sometime this week if the weather permits. I will finish this page at that time.
